Step-by-Step

Step 1

Placing your thumb on the outside of the iron (directly behind the power-button light) and face the curling edge toward your head

Step 2

Place hair in the iron with the power-button light facing outward (if using a mirror, face the light toward the mirror)

Step 3

Clamp the iron closed on your hair and rotate your wrist backward (up and away from the mirror)

Step 4

With your wrist still tilted backward, gently glide the iron forward (toward the mirror)

Face the styling edge toward your head, holding iron with thumb pointed down and elbow angled up (over your head) or out (over/away from face).

Right Side

Face preferred edge (curling/straightening) toward your head, holding iron with thumb pointed up and elbow angled down.

Straightening Edge

Straightening edge shows 2 exposed, flat metal plates. Face the straightening edge toward your head to flatten natural waves and curls.

Curling Edge

Curling edge shows no visible plates and has a curved guide. Face the curling edge toward your head to add body to flat locks.
